New PRIMI look & feel at Canal Walk

Following hot on the heels of the launch of its scrumptious breakfast menu last month, PRIMI has just unveiled its new-look restaurant in Canal Walk, which embraces the very essence of urban chic.

Revitalised and energetic, the kitchen has been opened up with an innovative new wood-fired pizza oven as the focal point in the restaurant. The busy kitchen staff can now be observed from all sides of the restaurant as they work their magic on classic PRIMI dishes – perfect for a tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. Imported from Italy, the state-of-the-art pizza oven combines traditional wood-fired baking with innovative gas-burning technology. The result is an oven that reaches up to 450°C and perfectly baked PRIMI pizza.

From the moment you walk into PRIMI’s new space, which is now located at Entrance 8 Upper Level, your eye is naturally drawn to the beautiful earthy tones that blend in perfectly with the wooden floors and exposed natural brick. One of the two dining areas is nestled under the double-volume glass ceiling atrium that lets in all the natural light.

The PRIMI experience

PRIMI first shot to fame in 1999 and brought a taste of “the old country” into a vibrant urban context. Customers have come to expect PRIMI’s punchy flavour, Mediterranean-inspired wholesome food and an unpretentious eating experience. PRIMI boldly states that when it comes to food “the future is tradition” and calls upon recipes dating back over 200 years, with great effort being made to source pure ingredients without artificial additives. As such, premium 00-grade stoneground flour, bronze-drawn artisan pasta and pure tomato pulp are imported from Italy.

Fresh herbs, desert rock salt, toum and olive oil enhance the prime cuts of meat, sustainably farmed salmon trout and vegetables. Even the dipping sauces and PRIMI condiments are freshly made from scratch. Moreover, ozone is used with filtered water to clean and naturally preserve ingredients. So diners can rest assured that the tasty dishes are also packed with nutrition.
